The Cats Claw is dedicated to creating Beautiful items. Some that have practical function Others for simple aesthetics. Much of my work is done with recycled materials and found objects with an eye toward reducing waste and keeping our world a little nicer.

Over the years I have diversified into many media beyond wrought iron, though that is still my primary focus. I have tried in places to incorporate these other media into my ironwork through new processes such as Electro-etching and engraving creating a quirky comic based collection of kitchen items I call Bunware, named as such from a comic strip that i have written entitled 'Under The Bun' which can be read by clicking on the button below.

Artist Statement
I have always been fascinated with historic ironwork and Blacksmithing. I started off with a desire to make swords and armor. I have since diversified into sculpture and practical items to bring my interest in historic techniques to a modern industrialized world and create items of both beauty and function.

Our Facilities
Originally a simple corrugated aluminum garage over the years I have built up a very functional if a bit cozy blacksmith shop. Complete with hand built coal fired furnace, anvil various hammers and tongs, forming jigs nad of course some essential power tools such as grinders, and a drill press.
